GTA V 14GB VRAM Usage @ 6480x3840 (Stupidity at it's best)

It's the game suggesting it requires 14GB of vram not them actually playing at this usage.

Article is pointless though, as who in his right mind (even with 4 Titan Xs) would run any sort of MSAA let alone x8 at that resolution ?

Isn't GTA V VRAM readings according to how many GPUs you have connected ?

Maximum for 4 TitanXs running GTA V maxed out would be 2160p, any higher resolution and you won't get a constant 60fps.

haha yea true! Some people say you don't even need AA when at 4k never mind 6k lol.

GTA V needs a little AA @ 4K (some games don't)

At that resolution 6480x3840 I think you are going to have to drop a setting or 5 :p

Thinking also the PCI-E lanes (even on X79/X99) will probably start borking at whats going through them.

why are they using such a stupid resolution........... Who the hell cares about 6K...... because it is going to be 4K and then 8K, but i doubt 8K will ever take off, unless you fancy an LG ;)

People have nothing to do these days by the looks of things. They can donate one of these titans to me, now that would be something worth doing ;)

If that is number is taken from the ingame options menu then you need to divide it by the number of GPUs in the system. For some odd reason they made the game add the vram from each card into a single pool which is what is showed on the options page..
