It should have been "Jeremy Clarkson conveniently recalls cancer scare before Top Gear 'fracas' in not-so-subtle appeal for public sympathy"
World's most popular TV show![]()
Business Insider said:According to CBS's 60 Minutes, "Top Gear's" unique storytelling method and irreverent attitude helped the show generate 350 million viewers a week worldwide, as well as a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most-watched "factual" TV program.
I like the bloke and Top Gear but why the hell otherwise did he mention it. Other than the obvious.
Misleading thread title....
I've edited the incredibly misleading thread title.
It should have been "Jeremy Clarkson recalls cancer scare before Top Gear 'fracas'"
If true its very sad for him that he lost his job, maybe I have just become very cynical but whats the chances a PR agency has come up with this along with the BBC to give them a excuse to give him his job back?
I have known someone to claim to have cancer but I believe they lied (I could be wrong).
all he needed to have done was have it leaked he was under a lot of stress due to a cancer scare at the time and the public would have rallied round an all the tv should would have been saying how it was a disgrace the bbc were dragging him through all this given his current situation.
but he didnt.
gotta respect him for that.
As he was in the middle of filming Top Gear those scans had to be delayed as he always put the show first.
Lots of people have stressful situations in their lives, they don't end up resorting to violence.![]()
if he was using it as a ploy surely he would have mentioned it before he got sacked.
I can't help but think he realises he really messed up
