So how is this fine worked out, or is it willy nilly?
P.s I had no idea it was a police car![]()
I've heard of that happening a lot, especially during Le Mans, but I don't really object to it at all. Fact is, if you're in a foreign registered car in France you can basically drive at whatever speed you like providing you're willing to fork out potentially large sums of money for the fine, which seems more than fair to me. If I'd have been caught at 110MPH in England, it'd have been a court appearance, 6 points, and a fine of god knows how much. Whereas today it was simply a quick drive to the cashpoint and we were let on our way.
edit: the fine was €90, which was surprisingly low, as I've heard of people getting fined €500 for 60+ over like I was.
Apparently it's open season during Le Mans, where the feds are out in force to catch and on-the-spot fine foreign plated drivers.
I'd say you were lucky at €90, I've just had a quick read around and apparently it can be up to €1500 for 50KPH+ over the limit!
Hardly worth speeding though, imagine if you got stopped multiple times.![]()
I follow 4C guy on Instagram. I love what he's done with it, especially the gold wheels. The 8C doesn't even come close.

He was being a complete poser - he drove past where I was sitting at least 6 times in about half an hour
I'd probably be exactly the same if I had a car like that though so I guess I shouldn't criticise!
For what reason? Lol
Sod driving up and down a high street and point me to the nearest B Road.
