OS X 10.10.3 Update Out Now

It's cheaper than Dropbox if you have 200GB or less, £3 a month.

Cheapest Dropbox price is the standard £8 a month, but you get 1TB for that.

Above 200GB you're better off with Dropbox, between the two.

Google Drive and One Drive are cheaper than Dropbox though.

My initial library upload has now finished, it took from Friday evening until lunchtime today to upload those 4,500 images. Now I'm slowly going to add older pictures from my iPhoto library into it and let it push those up.

It was very slow but I am only using an ADSL connection with about half a meg up.

How come every little update disables/breaks the Nvidia drivers. :(

Suppose its the risk I take running a none Mac 970GTX in my Mac Pro 3,1... I only switch off my Macs when I have updates and its getting to the point that every time a major or minor update is released I have to either switch graphics cards or switch boot drives between my Macpros to reinstall the latest Nvidia drivers.

Any idea how to delete all photo's off my phone? They've taken away the ability from Image Capture and I'm not doing it all individually. Can't believe it's so difficult to do.

EDIT. Managed to do it using the old iPhoto app, it seems all the duplicates I had are now gone.

Photos is a truly dreadful app.
Not trolling you but what is so bad about it? I've got all my photographs in it, sorted into albums and uploaded and it's working perfectly well for me. It's quick, easy to navigate and the immediate sync to and from my iPhone is faultless. I'm pleased to have been able to dump iPhoto.

I agree,it does all i need it to do.

The option to delete wasn't there for me for all of the photos.
For reference, it's not in the file menu, that option is greyed out.

However, if you multiple select images then you can do it this way. Here's Image Capture connected to my iPad.

You're having me on right? For a start it takes all your photos and puts them into dates rather than titles. Example - I may have taken lots of holiday pictures on different days within my two week holiday. I gave that a title e.g. Holiday in Marrakesh 2014. Photos splits that up into different dates not titles - barking mad.

Apple stated not to long ago when calling Windows 8 they did not envisage iOS and OS X as integrated systems. Isn't that exactly what they are trying to do? iPhoto is a much better app.

The whole eco system appears to becoming 'teen orientated' which I suppose is now Apple's main market. For those of more mature years I consider this change to have little relevance and I find myself being drawn more and more to competitors offerings these days. Sad really when I think back a few years.

I don't see any problem with photos being listed chronologically, I've got 15years of worth of photos totalling 38,000 images (~300gb) I've got the whole lot broken down into 5 main folders, with 15 sub folders and 100+ Albums. The photo titles are all meaningless basically, KX5543.cr2 tells me nothing, but, a photo taken on 23rd July 2011 at 08:52 listed in the "Holidays and Outtings/Forum Meets" folder and "RR OcUK 2011" album is much easier to find.

But you have had to compile those albums. Fine if you have the patience. I had IPhoto exactly how I wanted it and photos broke it.

I was fortunate I still had IPhoto on my system.

Glad it works for you but there are lots of complaints about photos on many Mac forums.
