So I have a perfectly fine MSI GTX 970 that I wanted to sell. Removing the DVI cable and the connectors/pins from the graphics card stay stuck inside the cable.
I used a small plier to screw it back into the graphics card, but it seems its not still not solid/tight enough in there when I re-insert the cable, same thing happens again.
I don't want to sell it like this, what can I do about it? I bought a few months ago, but it would be pretty stupid to bring it back just because of a few loose pins/connectors.

I'm either being daft and stupid and clearly misisng something but aren't the pins supposed to be in the cable to begin with anyway?
I meant the other way around, so the pins from the graphics card itself come loose and get stuck on the cable. I guess its really not a big deal, but when I sell the card, I don't want the same to happen to the buyer.

Like Elfmeister. said the DVI cable is Male (pins) and the 970 DVI port is female (holes) so you have got something the wrong way round still.

I think he means the two small nuts/screws that the dvi cable pins screw into come away with the cable instead of staying located in the card itself. If that's the case get a pair of long nose pliers and give them a good tighten.

Or I'm also really confused?!

If your on about the little nut screw either aide of the dvi port then i know what you mean its happened to me before just tighten them back up with your fingers if possible

Stick a bit of super glue on the thread and then screw it back in? or buy a dedicated thread locking adhesive to do the job. That is if just tightening it back up doesn't work.

Yes thats exactly what I meant. :D
And yes I had used a long nose plier, but perhaps I did not tighten it enough. you know what, I'l try a different dvi cable, see if its because of the cable.
