I'll be on Thursday for sure. Planned to play some Smash tonight but may jump on MK8 too.
For Thursday I can set the OcUK Lobby to new tracks only (assuming it's the same as last DLC update).
200cc too?
If there's only a few of us on it may be better to join each other in Global/Regional. I joined your Global lobby on Sunday Lodjik, not sure if you recognized me

I did
some good races but I was rusty getting ready for the DLC. Didn't know you could join friends in global. I'll be about Thursday night too.

Not sure if we will need the 200cc mode from the start though as we will need to get a feel of the new tracks first then add some crazy 200cc a bit later

Global/Regional ranked default will stay at 150cc afaik
You can however choose custom rules for matchmaking, you get the options 'Race', 'Battle' and 'Custom'. Setting that to defaults and 200cc should find people in ranked.
There'll likely be plenty of 200cc tournaments running too.

I've just been searching and the general consensus seems to be 100cc if anyone in the lobby is <3000VR and 150cc above and that 200cc might be for lobbies with >8000VR. Can't say I've noticed. Does that sound right to you?

Ah yes, you are right about the maximum cc being lower depending on VR or players, forgot about that. It did use to be 100cc wen I started playing for sure.
With that in mind maybe 200cc will be set for high level lobbies then, idk for sure, but would make sense.

It should download the patch/200cc update automatically in standby at least.
Not sure about the dlc though.
Wont get a chance to play til around 6 myself, will be a long day

200cc only needs unlocking for offline Grand Prix i think, can play it in VS and Online modes right away.
