***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

New 1440p monitor not arriving until tomorrow, second 280x for Xfire should be arriving on thursday.

Still caved and am now downloading to see what its like on my crummy 1050p (yes, ten fifty!) and single 280x :D
 
Really impressed with the intro...graphically very impressive, even had to put my 295x2 back to stock since it was gettings a little warm.

Maxed everything out at 1440p along with 2x msaa. A little stuttery when driving, so going to have to sort that somehow.

Oo and in my defense I only meant to scare you coming out the gun range. I stopped shooting before I killed you and then you one shotted me with a shotgun in full landshark mode :eek:.

Dreading firing this up tonight...

My game works perfectly, not had a single crash and it's been performing brilliantly. If this patch borks that, I'll be a sad panda.
 
Slight issue and need some help

I bought GTA 5 PC from CD Keys and they gave me a code to buy it from the Social Club. Now when i'm online with my friends and can see friends who bought it the same way i did but i cant see friends who bought it through Steam!

Now my friend who bought it through steam can see me online and invite me but i cant see him, also my other friend who bought it the same way i did has the same issue.

Any ideas!?

Ive had no issues with the patch and i was running perfect before aswel, i found out what my issue was somehow one of the sliders on the advanced settings had changed so was messing with my FPS.

Also can someone check something for me i think im going mental, those who use there own music do you get a drop in FPS when you have your own radio statrion on? i noticed today if i have it on i get a decrease in FPS by about 5-10 FPS :s i tested it on a straight road going back and fourth. Using normal stations i didnt dip below 60 but as soon as i put my own station on i was mid 50's sometimes high 40's
 
I seem to be having a problem online with heists. It feels like lag, I go to get into a car, the character stops mid way through, same if someone tries to get in with me. I often just die like I've been shot while standing still for ages despite moving or in cover. Friends report me standing in a spot or remaining in a vehicle long after I'm out on my screen.

Computer is more than up to the job, 70-90fps maxed out at 1080p, internet is fibre, 30download 18upload.

Anyone else having this or any ideas?

I've had that quite a few times.
 
I had to laugh at one of the items on the update list, namely the bug that saw the game opening the pause menu for no reason. I could have swore one of the kids had synced another 360 controller to my pc and was pausing it to troll me lol.
 
Don't know what this patch was for but my game crashed after 10 mins. Was hoping it might have been a fix for that, but guess not.

Players can no longer purchase more vehicles than their properties can store.
Players can now launch a video card benchmark test from the main menu.
Fixed an issue where facial features would not save correctly when transferring a character from Xbox 360 or PS3 and changing genders while editing the character's appearance.
Fixed an issue where players could become stuck in the clouds when voting to quick restart the Humane Labs Heist.
Fixed an issue where markers in the Rockstar Editor could not be deleted with the mouse.
Fixed various audio recording issues with Rockstar Editor clips.
Fixed an issue where the Yacht would not appear in some recorded Rockstar Editor clips.
Fixed a rare issue where some Rockstar Editor clips could not be opened for editing.
Fixed an issue where the GTAV Launcher would not display the correct amount of time remaining for file downloads.
The Steam overlay has been moved to prevent it from covering up Launcher buttons.
Fixed an issue where the game would not save your settings when restarting in some instances.
Fixed a rare issue where the Steam version of the game would crash right after launching.
Windows Media Player is no longer required to install GTAV. Instead, Windows Media Foundation will be required.
Fixed an issue where the game would show the pause menu without player input.
Fixed an issue where the max frame rate would be incorrectly low in rare cases.

Anyone about tonight or tomorrow? I tried a team last standing and a few races, got bored quickly and died constantly :p

How do I get involved in all the OCUK fun?
Whats the TS server I should be using?

Patch notes

For me

Fixed an issue where the max frame rate would be incorrectly low in rare cases

That is what was changed and fixed for me.... would drop to 30 FPS before sorting itself back to 60 FPS

No issue today since the update...
