Hello,

I have an LG 3440x1440 monitor and a 780 ti card. I tend to use geforce experience to automatically optimize gaming settings, but geforce always wants to go with 2560x1080 instead of 3440x1440.

So my question is this, is it better to go with 1080 and have graphics maxed or is it better to turn down the graphics and have the higher resolution?

Proberly a matter of opinion, but yea im wondering what other peoples opinions are?

Cheers.

Personally if I bought a monitor that size then I would want to use the full resolution. I'm guessing you have the hardware i.e graphics cards to do so?

If you can't handle max settings at full res then maybe try 2560x1440p, I don't see the point in going with 1080p when you have got a 1440p monitor.

Yea i agree, i want the highest res i was just wondering if i was missing something, like "the human eye cant see higher than 1080p" or some crazy **** that some console owner will probably try to say one day :D

I have a gtx 780ti which i bought last year, was thinking about getting another one but they havent gone down in price at all?? perhaps it will go down when the 980ti gets released.
