***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Lagfest tonight it seems. Lots of folks dropping and cars warping around my crew are reporting.

I can't even get into the online, this is my 4th attempt to load multiplayer and it just keeps timing out and putting me back into single player. Managed a few races earlier and there were just false starts, people warping all around the track, totally broken physics etc...

I just received ingame notifications stating "You've reached the rank of 50" and then one for 100. I'm just Lv30. It's a mess tonight and I blame you Steam clowns :p

Had a good laugh at one of franklins sp missions where he has tofollow the dog and has a full blown convo with it! :) sp is awesome.

Edit: Just finished the whole missing, awesome from start to finish!

I think Rockstar has a lot to deal with now that trainers are easily accessible and let you do basically anything online.

Really? :( I saw something about sp trainers, but didnt think they worked online. Only problem with PC it's never a level playing field.

Ok, could really do with some help.

Up until a couple of days ago, the game was playing 100% fine, no issues.

The last couple of days, it's steadily become unplayable.

First, loading times. I just timed it, from clicking "story mode" to the character being on screen. 9 minutes 30 seconds.

Then, there's the pop in. I reduced EVERY graphical setting to minimum, to rule out lack of GPU power or vram issues.

I'm not talking small amounts of pop in either.

One moment I'll be driving along and it'll be perfectly fine, then this happens.

At the same time, the game will freeze (single player and online) for between 2-6 seconds, then resume like nothing happened.

See the charts below, you can see my cpu and gpu usage reducing to zero (apart from the first core) for the moments this happens. Currently it's happening every 10-30 seconds roughly. I'm only using less than 1200GB of vram, so plenty left of the 1.5GB on my card.

Ignore the 2nd half of the CPU graph and the first half of the GPU graphs.

I'm gonna verify the game files (steam) to see if any are corrupt, but any help would be appreciated. it's gotten steadily worse the last couple of days, it started out just with the freezing for a few seconds every minute or 2, which I thought was an online issue.

Just suffered a total crash. Was in Blane County as Trevor. I helped a cop with some random event where he was chasing a felon. The cop thanked me and told me to leave. When I tried to walk away my entire PC froze, but the music was still playing in the background :(

I got some weird bug where i went into a jet and ended up falling through the cockpit onto the runway. Worked second time around though.

I completed an heist setup
Trevor's Heist, the mission with the garbage disposal truck and the driver was shooting rockets from it, like in the GTA races

The people using them will be banned, there goes a £40 game, I don't see the point personally especially when you consider you can run private sessions online.

Yup servers were absolute **** tonight, rubber banding, losing connection etc.

I think I am just going to concentrate on the single player this weekend.

Once we got going it was alright but getting everyone online and into the playlist was a sod.

I got kicked out due to "account logged in elsewhere".
