350.12 Force Install GTX 275

By putting it in the bin where it belongs and ordering a new GPU that doesn't set off a power pinch every time you turn on your PC.

That's an OLD card. You'd be best to just drop £120 on the MSI 750Ti which is extremely cheap, uses no external power, overclocks and stays cool and will see you until 2020 based on your current GPU habits.

£150 will shift you up to 960 territory as well if you can stretch.

OP - You don't. Just use the latest driver available for your GPU.

The rest of you - He didn't ask for new graphics card recommendations.

What's the point when this card is just used for a media PC?

What's the point in using something so power hungry and large in a media PC?

I'm not sure what CPU the OP is using but most of them, in Intel, have onboard graphics which is quite capable of putting out blu ray rips.

When I ran my media PC (before I got a Youview recorder) I used to have it on 24 hours a day so would never have used a GPU like this.

It's up to him of course. There are plenty of drivers out there that will work, not quite sure why he wants to force on the latest one.
