Can't find a thread for this already. Starting this one as the web seems to be losing it's mind about Leto as the new Joker, both positively and negatively in equal measure.

Honestly for me the only things i'm excited about with the Suicide Squad movie are Leto as Joker, Robbie as Harley and the fact that David Ayer is directing. Harsh Times, Fury and especially End Of Watch are films I love.

A quick look at the new joker...

Someone tweeted this about the J in the typical teardrop tattoo spot on his face

It may be reaching, but many seem to think THIS is a hint at Robin. A collapsed wing...dead bird...murder of Jason Todd? What better way to get at Bats than to tattoo his dead sidekick on your arm?

Leto should be excellent, this might be a good fun dark movie.

Looks good, pleased they've made the look completely different to any of the other movie portrayals. Also looking forward to Harley Quinn

I think the white paint and red lipstick was too much

Regarding the jason todd tear drop thing... I don't get that surely its just a J tear drop, until both films arrive and supes/batman we have no idea about Robins existence or what robin number were at I think there are 5 Robins perhaps more but I do hope they skip dick grayson would much rather have him as nightwing.

Also yes Harley Quinn is the one were all waiting

I like his look apart from the really bad tattoos. I mean a tattoo of HAHAHAH and the Skull and joker smile just seem kind of unimaginative? He mazewell just get ''I am the joker'' tattooed across his chest lol. Hopefully there always hidden by his outfit. On the bright side I am really looking forward to his performance though as I feel hes a great actor and should be great in the role.

I didn't like the look when i first saw it, but today i think it looks great and gives a small insight of what the tone/look of the film could be.

I've had a thought and don't think he'll have all the tatts in the movie, my gut tells me this is more of a concept shot.

Which was the same rhetoric bandied about when Ledger's role was announced. Just saying.

Still reckon Nicholson was a far more intimidating Joker than Ledger - yes Ledger's character was a lot more sinister and ruthless but Nicholson is a very dark method actor anyway, he plays the psycho well!

Let's hope they get this film right though.

Not to mention they wimped out of Ledger's Joker killing people, Nicholson gassed half a city!

Seems to be getting a bad reaction this, when all I can think is how good Requiem for a dream was. (I'm saying good, when really its a bloody horrible film, but powerful none the less!)

I'm gonna keep my mind open on this one and not try to look to much in to it.
