Hello all,

I have a problem with my Hardwarelabs Black ice gtx420 and 240 X-flow.

They both supposed to use standard g1/4 fittings which it says on the box, yet my g1/4 primochill revolver fittings wont fit properly, they dont screw all the way down and sit flush, i can maybe do a single turn before there locked tight.

Any ideas? ive tried the primochill fittings on all my other parts and they fit just fine, mobo, cpu, res etc so its the rads, is this a common fault with black ice rads or am i missing something?

Any help would be cool as this my first build, dont wanna mess up.

Cheers all
Carl

you need to use a spacer if the thread is too long although single turn for it to be locked tight is a bit odd as I remember having to turn a good few times on my GT 240 with XSPC fittings, would you be able to upload a picture so we can see?

Well after all that ive solved the problem, it seems some of my fittings fit the rads but some dont, not sure why this is as there all the same set, very strange, but i guess i should have tried them all in the first place.

Problem i can see for other people tho is if you only have a few fittings and they dont fit you gotta buy more and hope they will fit, because i cant see any problems with the threads atall.

Other than that ye a spacer or adaptor of some sort should work, that was my only other option before buying different rads.

Thanks for the help, all is well now but i still got a lot to learn :D

Cheers
