**** Sony Xperia Z3 ****

he must use stamina mode 24/7 and never use his phone at all.

I do use Stamina mode, have done since day one of ownership, and I do use the phone - primarily for text, emails and browsing.

Taken a few photos and used editing recently, so this charge has only seen three days.

Lollipop on the Z3 has been epic. This phone goes from strength to strength.
I can quite honestly say that I don't need another phone for ages and if I do I'll get the next Xperia device whatever it may be as Sony seem to know what they are doing and have got it right with their Xperia line of devices.
Well done Sony

I have a z3 compact in my basket currently Stoosh! Do I take the blue pill or the red pill ;) Is the battery as good on the z3c as it is on the z3?

When is the new Sony phone out? I'm currently able to upgrade. Ive got a nexus 5 with horrible battery life and the z3's battery capability is drawing me in.

Still worth entering a 2yr contract with or is it worth waiting to see what the new one will bring?

My cousin got the Z3 Compact last week after my recommendation on it, she seems pleased so far though has only had Samsung phones before so is getting used to it.

I too don't think I'll be wanting a new phone for quite some time, Z3 is just great at whatever and it looks good too, certainly won't be looking like an old gen smartphone for a long time, whereas the others out there will.

I dont know WTF to do.... I have an ageing S3 (3 years old now) and I was going to go for the Z3 but then heard about the Z4 and was willing to wait on it. Now I hear thats probably Asia only and the Z5 will be out in about 5 months

Mate the battery life is even better on the Z3C because of the 720p screen.

The only downside to the phone personally for me was that the screen was too small to watch videos on my commute otherwise it's a cracking device.

Seeing as you had a Z3C before why don't you try the Z3?

If it does look like an "old gen phone" after a while. Then you have nothing to worry about because that doesn't matter.

Kinda missed the point there :p

The design is such that it won't look like an old phone even after a few generations whereas phones like Samsung with the hardware buttons and style will (and do). I think the Z3/Z4 will be the only ones to go that way though as the Z2/Z1/Compacts are a bit thicker and don't have the curved edging. Though I don't know how the glossy Z4 edging will fare really...

is it worth taking out some kind of insurance with this phone?

also does anyone use it daily with headphones? is it a pain with the dust covers?

The headphone socket has no dust cover, doesn't need one. Insurance is worth it, I got a free Z3 out of it

I am with Barclays, £7.50 a month and they did mess up hence the free phone as well as repaired phone in the end.

What about picking up a second hand Z3 for £280-£300 ish, to see whether you like it.

Then, when the next Z phone that'll be coming to the UK is confirmed you can either sell the Z3 for maybe a £50 loss and then pick up the new phone. That's what I'd do anyway :)

The Z3 is some £150 more expensive than the z3c! I can get a Z2 for £299 however. I just thought the camera on the z3c was a little pants to be honest but I have a feeling I didn't give it enough of a chance!

I wouldn't rate the camera that good for just point and shoot. its better in manual but by the time you've messed with settings you've lost the shot. this is the main reason im considering an s6 as apart from the camera the phones spot on
