Its already on a samsung Evo drive. Dont think its drive related. Something is buffering from time to time.

Have you checked your drive for degradation? The 840 evos are bugged and lose performance over time.

People have mentioned something about core parking in other threads could be something to do with that ? Or something running that is munching your memory ?

its installed on a 3 week old 850 evo

I have a feeling its memory the CPU is using all 4 physical cores during running the game and the virtual cores too. but its only using about 25-35% maximum cpu power.

Been running 32GB for nearly 2 years now and I think it's overkill. 16GB would be fine.

Always had more than 16gb of ram myself,currently have 32gb,might be overkill but it was cheap and never have to buy anymore

going to buy the "frost Edition" and a can of black spray paint

im not too much of a case tart but i have nothing white and given my black and red theme with red coolant it will just look a little too odd for me.

Lol grab a can of plasti dip instead if you can. That way if you ever need to RMA them you can just peel it off.

Right lads which 16gb kit should I get?

Currently using Samsung Green 8gb (2x4gb sticks) which runs at 9-10-10-21-1T 2133mhz. I know getting a 16gb kit to do that will be difficult but I'd like it to run around that or maybe 2400mhz cas 10.

Heh came here to start this very thread. GTA5 says yes it is! Had to up my page file to 4GB, madness. Last time I didn't have enough RAM was 1998 after I got a Voodoo 2 for Quake 2. Good times.

I've got those tiny Samsung Green RAM sticks that were all the rage when I bought my PC. They've gone up in price.. soo, sell greens and get 16GB kit?

24gb is overkill IMO, I'm going to grab another 8 and I put money on me not going over 16gb for 2-3 years

I paid £35 for my Samsung Green 8GB in 2012! why didn't I get 2 then?!

I take it something bad happened to the RAM world that passed me by.

I think 16GB should be fine.

I have never run out of memory with 8gb, however its cheap enough to get more now so may as well.

I just done it with GTA V i just hit 8gb usage ! admittedly i had teamspeak on and 1 chrome tab in the background but 100% usage. time to get an order on the go
