The Acer XB270HU not only has a IPS panel, but it can do 144Hz IPS and has G-sync support as well, is this monitor nirvana.

What makes this very interesting is that it is labelled as an IPS screen, and offers support for 144Hz refresh rate and support for NVIDIA's G-sync refresh rate technology. This is the first display featuring an IPS panel with native 144Hz refresh rate.

Offering tilt, height and swivel stand adjustments. We believe the screen to feature only a DisplayPort video connection as reported before.

It looks nice, but I'm thinking, next generation of my PC I might get one.

It's also too expensive, IMO. I'd rather spend that money on actual hardware inside my case.

Monitors are getting so expensive, when mine was considered a top endish monitor on release it was £330, there is no way I am paying essentially double the amount

I'll be stuck with 1080p for some time yet at this rate

This monitor is one of a kind. There are 1440p IPS monitors below £300 right now.

I was going to say this monitor's expensive, but then look at the price of the Apple Thunderbolt Display.

I think my Samsung 245T was also around £700 back in 2008.

It's everything I want but the "Acer" puts me off - heard too many bad things about their customer service and overall build quality :/

Come to think of it, I remember firms using Acer displays in my last job and they were always breaking down.... that was some 5 years ago so the quality may have improved? Its not a brand tbh I would go for. Love the specs of this monitor but only one thing missing and that's 3D. You would think at this price it would have been included?
