Does anyone use a fan controller behind a case door?

I've got a Corsair 330r and I'm thinking of getting the Akasa Six Channel fan controller, but I'm concerned about how far the dials stick out.

Another option is to get a controller with digital controls, but I'm not keen on how tacky some of them look!

if its behind a door you wont see it surely.

Another option, if you can live with the limitations, is an NZXT Grid+. Hides away somewhere inside your machine, and plugs into a spare USB2 header on your motherboard and you control it via software. It is limited to one-speed-for-all rather than individual fan speeds, but pretty decent if you can live with that. I've got one tucked away in the case to control my case fans based on GPU temperature.

I use the fc6 behind the door in my enthoo primo, had to recess it in the bay a bit so that the door would close.
