Hi guys,

I am after a dslr camera to shoot landscape and solar photography. This will be my first dslr cam I will purchase.

Looking for a budget value for money cam around £300.

is there a cam with built in timer shutter speed as apposed to buying a digital timer remote.

thanks

My advice would be focus on getting your camera and not worry about this as feature as an intervalometer can be had for around £13. I'm not aware of Canon DSLRs with this feature inbuilt. Not sure the Nikons do either.

Higher end Nikon DSLRs have a built in intervalometer.

Since you are on such a tight budget I would be looking at second hand m43 gear.

thank you all. much needed.

using lapse it pro on my phone was becoming somewhat a joke

Canon's own software bundled with DSLRs allows you take a time-lapse by hooking up a laptop to it with a USB cable.

I used to do it as far back as when the 350D launched.

thanks for the info. i will just buy a timer remote, rather than carrying a laptop around

Hi again.

so i have been doing a bit of searching and i think the m43 camera as definitely my sort of thing.

I came across the OLYMPUS OM-D E-M10 which is at currys for £499.

any input regarding this camera and its specs. is there something better for same price or cheaper but value of money.

many thanks again
