Is it time for 16gb?

Crazy amount but then again I'm not surprised with the amount of detail it has.. Was no need for 16GB until now, I think we're likely to see more games using more memory but not many will use as much as GTA V!

I think 16GB should be fine.

I paid the same and it has been fine but using virtualisation software for example could do with 16gb! Only problem is for my next build I plan a white colour scheme but I really love this RAM. However the black may work well with white and it will probably be an easier combo than all white!

Thanks Moogleys but that RAM won't work on my Motherboard. My MB only supports speeds upto 2200MHz.

2400Mhz is the max you can run it at 2200Mhz if needed.

I'm using 14gb running a lot of chrome tabs, Vuze, powerpoint, excel, and a few other programs. I would say that it is time yes!

I've been gaming most of the day, various titles, hardware monitor says max used RAM has been 3GB, I think I'm safe for a while yet!

I got another Samsung Green 8GB kit, 9-9-9-24 2T 1600Mhz ran memtest over night and Prime95 blend. Turned page file down to 1GB again.

I don't entirely remember setting RAM details in BIOS, they seem to be set to auto for RAM settings, except voltage which is 1.35v

Now to test GTAV!
