Hey folks.

I just love to get some feedback about GTA V 3440X1440. Im hoping to buy the Samsung S34E790C from OC tomorrow but Id like to get some feedback about my specs and GTA V 3440x1440. It is a game that is quite GPU hungry so im slightly worried

My current specs are
Asus Maximus VII Formula Intel Z97
16gb ram
Intel i7-4790k 4.00ghz (no OC)
Kranken CPU cooler
Sapphire's Vapor-X R9 290X 8GB

Am i right in thinking Ill need to draw back on the graphics at 3440x1440 on GTA V with my current specs?

Any feedback or advice would be brilliant.

You not considered Freesync then? especially that ASUS IPS 1440P one.

Free sync isnt there at the moment from my reading and iv tired of back light bleeding.

Besides being widescreen im getting the Samsung because of VA and a high chance of no back bleed lighting.

Iv been burned in the past with IPS and back light bleeding.

See how it goes and if needed just xfire that 290x, certainly got enough vram to handle a higher res :)

And as stulid said oc the cpu !

By lowering some settings you should easily get good framerates.

Turning off MSAA and setting the grass to high is probily the best place to start

Overclocking the CPU never hurts!.But for GTA5 specifically its probily not necessary, the game is well threaded so a 4790k at stock will chew through the game regardless.

Ive been looking around, I think if you go easy on the AA, you should do 50+fps.

Thanks for all the help stulid

Iv overclocked the cpu to 46 ghz now, looks stable so far. Unfortunately OC dont stock my model of GPU anymore :(
