Hey,

mp4nation currently have an offer of the E11k, its down to £30 (plus free worldwide shipping) with the coupon "E1120OFF".

E11K is by far one of the better portable amps, you can find reviews here, here and here.

Current around £45 in the UK, so a fair saving :)

E12 is also available for £65, worth stretching your budget to that if you can... Same site, coupon is "E1230OFF". Better detail, slightly better overall sound and is that bit more powerful (also doesnt have the curved design that makes stacking a pain).

Could a mod please change title to include the E12 sale/discount? :)

Thanks

Just placed an order for the E11K, came to just around £34 with the Paypal $ conversion.

I should be able to get around £20 for my old E11 so worth an upgrade.

any portable dac/amp's on sale?

tbh though most of my listening these days is through car speakers which i've bass modded, yamaha soundbar or roth active speakers.

it's probably time i stopped buying stuff for a portable setup as i no longer use public transport due to a change in office location

Not that Ive seen, unfortunately. Second hand E07/E07K is probably still your best bet on a budget.

Sorry for attaching to this thread but I'm looking to buy a amp for my Bose companion 3 speakers 2.1. Would it make a difference on these speakers?

I've cancelled my order. Discussions on Head-Fi don't recommend it as an upgrade to the E11. My E11 is still going strong after I replaced the battery recently. Plus I've just ordered the Fiio X3k DAP which shouldn't need an amp :)

I'm still looking for an external solution to replace my STX, I'm guessing these aren't as good?

Been looking at the e17k.

Hi guys, first post in this subforum.

I'm currently using a pair of V-Moda Crossfade LPs, but when it comes to source I'm sad to say I'm just using the front audio port on my H440 case, running off onboard audio on my Asus Z97 Gaming Pro :(

Would an E11k/E12 be a worthy investment? Considering I realistically use these headphones at home 98% of the time versus 2% on-the-go as I ride a motorbike most of the time, could either of them be decent for a home setup?

Thanks in advance :)

Both can be used just fine in a home set up :) They will also be a substantial improvement over the onboard front panel. I would personally be looking at a DAC/Amp combo though, as onboard sound is pretty nasty - something like a FiiO E07K or the Schiit Fulla would be a good option, both similarly priced.
