Hi!

Recently I got my second Gtx 780 so now im running 2x 780 in SLI after a bit of struggle when installing ( Watercooling )

I have a bad feeling my CPU is bottle-necking these two cards because ...

I tried playing BF4 1080P Ultra ( With 2x 780SLI ) and Im getting 65-85FPS on Full 64 Players Server while on Empty server Im getting 90-150Fps which seems fine for 2x 780s

With my Single 780 ( OC 1060Mhz ) I was getting a bit more FPS than with 2x 780 on full 64 player server. hm

According to this
http://www.tweaktown.com/tweakipedi...g-gtx-780-sli-vs-gtx-980-sli-at-4k/index.html

it should not bottle-neck so im trying to find out if there might be some other problem? hm?

( I love my AMD FX CPU ... Dont make go for i5 or i7 :D )
Excuse my English

CPU: AMD FX 8320 ( 4,5Ghz 1,35V )
GPU: MSI / PNY Gtx 780
MOBO: Asus crosshair V formula

You should be ok with most games, your CPU will bottleneck those cards under certain conditions though. Your only bet would (i know you didn't want to hear it) be to buy an i5/i7. What temperature were your cards running at when you were playing on the 64-player BF4 servers?

Albeit I was running a slightly higher GPU clock but my 4820K @ 4.4GHz was walking all over a 8320 @ 4.8GHz with a single 780 let alone SLI in BF4 ultra settings :S

47 Degrees C Max temperature after about 40 min of playing but might be False as if there is Bottleneck I guess the cards are not working for 100% and therefore producing less heat ... I dont think temperature is the problem here

Looks like I will have to get myself i5 4690K or something ... But before that I would like to get some more ideas what might be wrong to be 100% sure its the CPU bottle-neck because getting new i5 or i7 costs quite a lot of money and im not the richest person :D

Shouldn't really see less FPS compared to a single card though :S

In SLI they are not OC'd ... Might be that? ... its all weird ...

Btw my PSU is reaching its limit. When I calculated how Strong PSU I need for my System is ( According to eXtreme Calculator PSU ) 733Watts. I have 750Watts PSU

Might this be the power Supply not being strong enough to provide all the Watts needed? ...

Running stock sli 780's here, off the top of my head at 1920x1200 bf4 is averaging 120fps fully maxed on a 64 player server. Power draw at the wall of around 630w, cpu is an i7 4790k at 4.7ghz.

M8[FX 8320] of mine had the same problem with SLI 780, your CPU: AMD FX 8320 ( 4,5Ghz 1,35V ) has not got enough horsepower to get the best out of them.

What make and model is that 750w psu? Just because it has 750w in bold on the sticker doesn't mean it can deliver that much on the 12v rails where it's needed.

Use the Mantle API in Battlefield 4 to unlock the performance of the 8 core FX 8350. :)

First Time I hear about mantle API. Will have to google that.

I would appreciate if you could help me with it because my "Google learning" never ends right as it should ... Always something is wrong :D

Update: Did some Google search ... looks like I need AMD GPU ... I have Nvidia GPU ( wanted to have 290x first but then i got 780 for really good price )

Corsair CX 750

You are cutting things extremely fine with that psu. Apart from the fact it's only rated at 750w at a pathetic 30 degrees C (most psu's are rated at 40 degrees or 50 degrees for the best ones), it has 744w on the 12v rail and has low quality internals. There is no way I would run a power hungry setup such as yours off a CX series psu.
