Hi all,

I'm running 980 SLI on a 4790k with a RoG Swift.

I find some games challenge this - GTA5 can't keep a constant 120 FPS, which I need for 3d Vision (35-40fps per eye is horrible)

So, I need moreeeee power.

I'm thinking of switching to an EVGA z97 Classified for the PLX chip, which I can have for about £190, and adding another 980.

My only other options are to either sell the 980s and buy two Titan Xs, which is far more expensive, or upgrade to x99 and add another 980, which is even more expensive and means DDR4 etc, so this seems the cheapest option.

What sort of scaling am I going to see?

I guess I'm mostly looking at those people like Kaap with multiple 980s already to tell me ;)

Ha! I don't think anyone could be bored of them already, what would they be upgrading to?!

I guess the other solution is a 1080p monitor for 3d.

Wait for the GTX 980ti and buy two.

I don't think it will be long before the 980ti hits the shelves as AMD are just about to launch the 390X (probably next month).

If you add a third 980 you could still have the same problem on some games where the minimums don't change much from using two 980s.

Sometimes adding a third or forth card can actually reduce the minimums even if the average and maximums go up.
