*** Sony Xperia Z3 Compact ***

Yes and no, I don't mind getting scratches on a phone as you'll have it a few years and replace it.. though all my phones have either broken or lost.

Hero - lost at snowbombing
S2 - broke
S4 - battery overheated and killed phone
Mini - threw in the bin after getting annoyed with it on a stag do
Nokia - slipped out my hand on site, hit some hard standing and broke
Z3C - slipped and broke

Think there are a couple of phones in there but forget :p Think the moral of the story is buy protection

Same.. mine literally just died after taking it off the charger at 6 this morning. Been in the office all day, with some Facebooking and a couple videos watched in the bog... but nothing overly taxing. Also had it in Stamina mode.

Really not happy about this, as battery life was it's major selling point for me (on of them anyway) !

Has anyone else's battery life gone to pot with the latest update ?

Mine seemed to take a hit after the update but a couple of days later it seemed back to normal possibly slightly better, could be down to me just having a mess around more than usual with lollipop stuff though.

Had the same thing, now have a different close all apps button unstead of a text button. Also fixed my issue with themes not working properly.

Personally think Lollipop sucks as an update. Phone seems slower, battery drains like a mofo (especially on stamina) and the way the browser multi windows stack with the rest of the apps is crap too (I know, at elast that I could turn off)

Phone was sent today under warranty, hope they send me a brand new one back :p

I see a lot of people on here saying about cracked screens..

Now I drop my iPhone a lot, and yet still less then my gf drops my iPhone. I actually threw it the other day quite hard at the wall when changing the duvet and its fine. I've never cracked the screen on an iPhone from any height on any flooring..

So it worries me, as a potential future buyer of the z3c, at how easier people say it cracks..

Especially as I hate cases!

Thoughts? Build quality or bad luck?

Build quality sadly.

My orange one developed a crack on the back between the camera and the side of the phone.

Not impressed, no signs of damage whatsoever.

Sent to sony support, xperia care and it cam back about a week later looking perfect again :) Repaired under warranty it seems.

I do think (only evidence is my own cracked Z1C screen and reading the internet) that Xperia screens can crack more easily than the other handsets I've owned (HTC mainly).

I got an update yesterday, but I haven't noticed any changes as yet. Mind you I haven't had some of the issues that you guys have since it updated to lollipop last month.

Only thing I noticed with the update is the close all apps button is back on the app screen.

Yeah...don't have that one yet.

Battery life is still rubbish. L.e.d isn't working in silent mode. Has a memory leak and after about a day of being switched on becomes unresponsive and has to be restarted. Stupid 5.0.2.
