Greetings people. Just to start with, my technical knowledge is next to nothing, so I follow same route as when i was building my current rig 3-4 years ago - asking people who knows stuff. I`m looking forward to build a PC that could run at 4k ( aa turned off, but all other stuff would be nice to run at max settings). Planning to spend £1,5k on rig and £500 on 4k tv ( haven`t seen any monitor around 40 inches). This is a PC i`ve found, and would be good point to start with:

Case : Zalman Z3+ Black Tower Case
Power Supply : XFX TS650 Bronze Certified 80 Plus 650W Power Supply
Motherboard : Gigabyte X99-GAMING 5
CPU : Intel 5820K Extreme I7 Six Core 3.3Ghz CPU (3.6Ghz Turbo)
Cooler : Corsair H80I Water Cooler
Hard Drive : 240GB Solid State Drive
Memory : 32GB DDR4 2400mhz Memory (note: Windows 64 BIT Pro / Ultimate Required)
Graphics Card : Nvidia GTX 980 4gb (Tripple screen support via DVI / HDMI / DISPLAY PORT)
Optical Drive : 24 Speed Dual Layer DVD Optical Writer
Warranty : Standard 12 Months Return To Base (Parts & Labour)
Connections : 4 x USB 2.0 Rear / 5 x USB 3.0 Rear / Killer Network Card / 5.1 Surround Sound (Full Spec)
Software : All Relating Drivers Supplied Only (Click here for windows 8 and add to basket if required)

Price for that one is £1443

Now few things that concerns me:
procesor - is it powerful enough? its i7, but 3,3 Ghz only(?)
ddr4 - maker is Team Group, which I`ve never heard of
ssd - it`s kingstone, but they did not specified, what model it would be
psu - seems bit shaitty
Good thing is, that when i`ve checked all components trying to buy them separate , the price was pretty much the same, maybe even slightly higher, which is opposite to what you would be expecting building PC from scratch on your own. GPU would be either msi or zoltac, which is nice as well
My technical knowledge is limited, but despite that I`d like to get most of the parts I`m getting, so maybe you could recommend some overclocked components? Or overclockable, if I could use a better version of Motherboard ( saw same , but version 9, which had nice future, that you could overclock components with one click of a mouse, noob-prove)
.
All i know is, that there is 3 crucial components , if you planning to play 4k - display, processor and gpu. TV should be refreshing at 60 Mhz at 4k (some producers claims, that their models refresh at 120, but what they don`t say, is that this is at SD, not UHD). OFC response time is a big factor, if you go for TV, not a monitor. Any suggestions on TV around £500 please?

Thing worth to mention is framerate. If it would be 40-50 I would be happy with that, as long as it doesn`t drop below 30.
Oh, and would it be reasoneable alternative to go for 2x radeon 290 instead of one nvidia 980? They would cost £100 more, but would that be improvement?
Remember, I have limited knowledge, so maybe PCU is good enough for playing at 4k, or there is no need to go for that Motherboard, or ddr4 at all?

edited: I would probably go for samsung ssd here, as I saw nice deals for Samsung 500gb. I was considering getting whole PC build here , but the GPU was same thing, as with those DDR4 I mentioned, never heard of that brand ( its their first GPU anyway, so no wonder I didn`t know them :p
)

Please share your thoughts, any help is much appreciated. Thanks for reading, and sorry if it was bit to long.
To kind moderators - sorry, if I post it in wrong place, but I couldn`t find any better. Feel free to move it, wherever is more appropriate.

Either way he says the display is important then says he's going to buy a 4k one for £500. Well that'll be *****...:p

sorry for that , i have removed link, so please just discuss specs. It was not my intention to advertise, please have a mercy on poor soul. Regarding TV for £500, I saw a LG model just under £500, you know, 4k isn`t that new now? Prices can be higher as well, as long, as I won`t have to do overtimes to get them :)

What is easier is for you to say what your budget is.

And what you need, tower, operating system, keyboard, mouse, speakers etc.

You will also need more than a single GTX980 for 4K gaming and a bigger PSU if you want to run two GTX980s in SLI.

^ as above , a single 980 isn't going to cut it at 4k , running 2 980s and I'm only just happy with performance at 2560x1080 .

My budget is £1500 for rig and £500 for TV or monitor around 40 inches, which I haven`t seen, but I might overlooked it somehow. Pretty much I would have to build whole PC , but perriferals are last thing I worry about. Thanks

It cant be done for 1.5K+£500.

I`m not sticking to that particular build, as I said, my knowledge is pretty basic, but for example, if I don`t need ddr4 to run 4k, then its £400 I could save and spend for other components. Again, if I don`t need ddr4, then I might don`t need a new motherboard, which saves me even more. This spec was just a point to start with, if you have any suggestions, what i could upgrade, or what isn`t necessary please, advice me. Thank you in advance

Unfortunately £500 is cheap for a big TV anyhow, going for 4k that has only been out a couple of generations with that budget really isn't going to get you anything great. Look at a 1080p TV for that budget IMO. Head over to the Home Cinema and Hifi subforum and read a few threads/start a new one. :)

Good luck with 4K on current hardware for a decent price. I'd wait till the 980ti/390x if I were you. Hopefully they'll be able to cope better with 4k. Also, is it not possible to get a decent 4k screen for £500? I'm sure I saw some when browsing the monitor section of OCUK. IMO, the most important component for 4k, besides the monitor is the graphics card set-up. Start there and look at what is compatible. Again, best to wait a bit for the new stuff, hopefully should be a better option.
