****Official Project CARS thread****

Loving the game atm, but it seems there a few racers out there that don't like being overtaken and proceed to try and ram you off the track as soon as you start to go past them. Other than that pretty good.

Agreed. There's some right tools online, parking in the road and waiting for you to come round is another annoying thing. Funny thing is not one has wiped me out yet, n00bs! :D

I have found some DS4 settings that work well for me... these remove most of the twitchyness, but still allow decent control.

Steering dead zone: 0
Steering Sensitivity: 30

Throttle dead zone: 0
Throttle Sensitivity: 50

Brake dead zone: 0
Brake Sensitivity: 30

Speed Sensitivity: 75
Controller Filtering: 35

Force Feedback: 100
Advanced: On

Input mode: 3

Damage is deffo working now too, so not sure what happened on my sons lap of glory... he finished first when I could not... but I was trying to drive properly :p

Will give these a try, Im trying out a few people have posted on the net, most are very similar really, what have you got for clutch sensitivity?

Cheers

So i just got entered into some cup thing in the caterham lotus 7 at oulton park. My tires are just not turning from blue to green. I have a feeling this is resulting in the car oversteering too much. Every corner I enter I end up leaving it either with the wheel straight or slightly counter to the corner.

Anyone know how to heat up the tyres?

well picked this up from argos earlier.

played it a while ago, all assists off and manual box but ai on 60.

was interesting in the clio cup at donny, i just couldn't get one clean lap in in quali, finally on the last lap i nailed sector one, downshifted a tad early i think and had a engine failure lol. typical.

quite enjoying the game but i hate playing with a pad.

Azure circuit has given me a headache. My eyes are sore. I did 10 laps in a formula c but the screen tear was horrendously bad. Huge cuts right across the track. Couldn't get a single corner hardly in without it tearing..

Very disappointed with ps4 performance on some tracks..

Can't say I've noticed any screen tear, but I've only raced on a few such as Silverstone, catalunya and brands hatch.

Does anyone know how to enable real weather progression, it's got a padlock in the track day settings?

Thanks

PC only. Apparently SMS didn't enable it for console. Cool feature as well.

Brands hatch has tearing BTW. Second corner, and it also has tearing at times second to last corner.

And the replays for all tracks are a mess IMO. Horrendous track side tearing... Its the worse performing game I've played on ps4 since owning a ps4.

I'm only using the auto transmission atm... this is my next step, now I'm getting to grips with it all.

The basic values above I saw on on another forum, but have tweaked a couple of the parameters to my liking... it is night and day from the defaults, which felt awful to me.

Using these which were posted by a member on the project car forum, best I've tried so far.

Controller Input Mode - 3 (Change first)

Steering Deadzone - 10
Steering Sensitivity - 30
Throttle Deadzone - 10
Throttle Sensitivity - 40
Brake Deadzone - 10
Brake Sensitivity - 30
Clutch Deadzone - 10
Clutch Sensitivity - 45
Speed Sensitivity - 65
Controller Filtering Sensitivity - 35
Force Feedback - 100
RPM/Gear Display Yes

Controller Input Mode - 3
Advanced - On
Apply Soft Steering - On
Apply Visual Filtering - Off
Apply Opposite Lock Help - Off

Are you guys actually manually pressing the clutch? If not what's the purpose of clutch sensitivity? I've just got buttons for gear up/down

So what are you lot liking most about PC so far?

If I'm honest I'm looking forward to gt7 more then ever now. Project cars is good when it works , but a lot of it just feels unfinished and not polished at all. I'm a bit disappointed with it , I think I knew deep down it would not be as good as I'd hoped but I endured and hoped for the best.

I haven't started career mode due to pit stop bugs and missing pit crew, I've been so disappointed with the ps4 performance. The replays are awful and the photo mode is terrible, not designed for a control pad at all.

Its a 7/10 game for me right now, but if they patch it up then this game could be epic.

I'm liking it a lot.

I like the array of options (all be it a bit confusing)

I like that you have to warm up your tyres.

I like the AI in this, personally its the best I have seen so far this gen.

I've not tried online really yet or career at all, but I may wait as I cant play my ps4 for a couple of weeks so in that time they may have fixed stuff and added lots more in patches.

I like all the real tracks.

I like it:)
