Employee who "works through lunch" - this one I can understand from an employer perspective as he's not permitted to do that legally and they cannot be seen to endorse it in writing, ever.
 
I wonder if this really is written warning, or if its just written "can you please stop taking smoking breaks" being incorrectly assumed to be written warnings by dim wit employees?
 
This is always a sore subject for me as I like to have my Vape. I have one before work, one on my break and one in the afternoon. then one of the management asked me to stop having so many breaks, I just smiled and said well you wont let me vape at my desk so...

If they told everyone else to stop taking 5-10 minutes out every hour to have a coffee/tea because they cant cope without it then thats fair enough. But it drives me mad people standing around the kettle/coffee machine having a chin wag yet I can't stop for 2 minutes for a quick vape.

But in Answer to the OP If places have a problem with this then they should put in policy/some wording. In my Mind it doesn't matter how many breaks you have aslong as you do the normal amount of work for that day. I will often work my nuts off (concrete repair product development) get it done nice and quick break a sweat and then have a quick puff.
Where as you might get a non smoker who works slow as hell but never leaves there desk but does less work. But these should be praised all because they don't smoke?

I have a quick vape every time I go to the toilet to keep me going. Strawberry flavoured e-juice and always have strawberry tic-tacs so if anyone comments on the odour I can explain it away.

I have a few secret places I can vape now. Having dust extraction in the lab I just blow it straight up that now. using an RDA chucking clouds removes toilet vaping for me :P
 
Update

All three got the warnings rescinded on Wednesday. Person three didn't even appeal only the first two did.
