I need to move my snooker table as I am getting new carpet. The next room is open and staight a head about 2m's away. I dont fancy the 4 man lift as it could bend or damage the cushions.

It obviously has 4 legs lol...

Any cheap ideas, dont mind spending £50

:)

Put it at one end of the room while they lay, move it to the other end when they need to do that end.

Or £50 worth of rock climbing anchors and ropes and hang it from the ceiling.

Hold two legs in the air roll carpet to the middle of the table put those two legs down pull up other two legs roll carpet all the way. Or move it around in the room ...

Could you wrap some rope round each of the legs and then do a 4 man lift with that (so hopefully shouldn't bend the cushions?)

Or failing that make a sort of sedan-chair arrangement with some long poles going under the table to lift it with?

Probably being pedantic here, but isn't 8' x 4' more like the size of a pool table? Pretty sure that snooker is double of that?

Love Mag's answer :-)

In all seriousness though OP, did you order the table originally? Do you remember how it arrived, logistics and all that? Then take it from there.

A 16X8 snooker table. Blimey, you'd need some cue for that!
