Asus x79/z77/z87 Nvme support FAO JJ (Asus Rep)

JJ (Asus Rep) if you read this - i know you post on here sometimes, can you let me know what the state of play with asus x79z77/z87 nvme bios support is?

Is it just boot support people are waiting for a bios update for, or is it the ability to use Nvme drives at all?

I'm loving my x79 Rampage Formula and would like to hang on to it as long as possible...

Anyone else reading this please vote in the poll - in the post below, we all want Nvme boot support right???

voted already, but it would be great if more people did the same. i believe if you wanted to you could vote from different PCs and it would still add to the total

+1

Really manufactures should keep all mobos upto date with issues or improvements say with in thier warranty life.

Asus warranty 5yrs.

This would go a long way to me buying another asus board next time I upgrade.

It's up to Intel, not specific brands. Intel has no reason to support it since if they do, you wouldn't have any incentive to upgrade and buy their new products.

Actually I think it's both intel and asus that need to make it happen - at least that's what jj is saying on the poll comments.

Btw mods is there any way you can change the title of the thread to include z77 and z87 boards as well please?

Of course both need to make it happen, but Intel makes the decisions on such matters. Once Intel decide to allow it and provide details to board manufacturers, they will come up with the bios updates.

Thanks for making that clear HACO. Did you vote in the end?
