****Official Project CARS thread****

OK so I started my Career in the Clio Cup, half way through started to get offers from Karts and another (Ford Focus Cup). As soon as my Clio career was over I started in the Karts, it's not a huge issue but I thought we could pick and choose our progression ? I understand I would need an invite to race Formula A (for example) but it just thre me into Karts, I couldn't pick the Focus Cup.

Im interesting in picking up the game, does the xbox one have any wheels out for it yet that are worth picking up? ive got a race seat and a wheel from the 360, i feel manufactures need to make backwards compatibility for big things like wheels

I've only done the first year so far but - at the very end of the racing season you receive contract offers, not sure if they are dependent on performance, but I had offers to move into the tier above what I was in and an offer to re-sign and stay in the same tier of racing.

Throughout the season you get invitational offers to drive at certain special events which don't affect you main contract. These are optional in that you don't have to enter them, but they are then available each year for you to enter if you want.

So perhaps you've not actually signed to Karts but are doing an invitational Kart event? It seems a bit odd you would only be offered to sign to a lower tier.

Should get offers and be able to choose which to accept. I went into formula gulf after Clio cup whilst also being offered ginetta junior. Now I'm in GT4 but was also offered formula C.

Ah right, I think that's it then, I'm still under contract and just doing random races under the same team.

Cheers.

As I understand it you get contract offers which are a race series you must complete, and also invites which you can participate in even if you are in a contract and the date doesn't clash with a contracted event?

I went from Formula Gulf to Formula C, but did have a Kart invite which clashed with a FC practice session :o

Decided to give Watkins Glen a try last night. I found it so difficult to get a decent time in the Z4. The front tyres get a proper workout. Indicator has them flashing red after a lap or two.

Looks like some of us are getting together tonight at 7pm for a GT 3 race. View the Online thread for more info.

I got the game a couple days ago and it's fine with the controller, but i've preordered the Thrustmaster TX wheel from OcUK, which is suppose to be one of the best wheels available on all platforms. There isn't much available for the XB1 currently, but the TX is designed to work with the XB1 and is fully licensed.

Hoping for dispatch on the 18th....can't wait

Is everyone setting the AI to 100? I tried 80 as I thought it would give a reasonable challenge still yet not be too aggressive, but I'm hammering them in every session by 4-5 seconds per lap!

Might have to step it up later.

I got this last night on XB1. It's pretty good fun. I had a play in the McLaren GT3 around Laguna Seca and then the M1 at Monza. Finding it really hard on the pad. I think I'm going to have to find a wheel but can't justify $300 for a Thrustmaster wheel. Why are all the XB1 wheels so damn expensive?

Does anyone know of one that doesn't cost a bloody fortune? Even the non-FFB wheels are close to $100!
