Hey guys

Just looking for some opinions from the very knowledgable guys who read this forum!

Ive been in the market for a new monitor for about 3 months now (hopefully a freesync model), first off i was looking at the Benq 1440p 144hz Tn panel but was put off by early reports of ghosting and now further issues arrising with Freesync, i was willing to look past the Tn panel if the monitor was perfect but it does not seem to be the case..

Then when Asus announced their 1440p 144hz IPS panel i thought that it was def the panel for me (mainly because i play RTS and MMO games and the IPS panel would be more suited to this) but again we have early reports of freesync not reaching a range where ppl think is suitable, ppl stating they maybe concerned with BLB, IPS glow etc.....

Following these 2 some what early disapointments which may or may not be unfounded and maybe retrievable i feel like i am edging towards just getting one of the widely available 1440p 60HZ monitors

It feels to me like the tech just is not there atm for these monitors to be widely produced @ an acceptable price range and in large amounts.... It seems like any of these new monitors are not flawless and there is always something in the backround ppl r not happy with

And i feel when u r spend that type of money £500+ on a panel it has to be 100% perfect, i think id be devistated paying that money and not be 100% happy with my purchase...

Anyone have similar thoughts?

I do know there are ppl out there with ROG swifts, the benq i mentioned and the new Acer that are very happy with their purchase but are they in the minority?

Thanks

what u think guys? Are we going to see any of these new monitors which are actually released and have next to no flaws or dont need recalled?

Seriously considering buying a 1440p 60hz 27 inch monitor to avoid any issue others are experiencing atm

That's exactly what I did, the price premium for 144hz + G-Sync is about £200 over a 27" IPS is not worth it to me.
