I was just starting secondary school when this came out. Everyone at school was absolutely mad on it.

Final fantasy 7 is most definitely my favorite game of all time.

FFVII is basically the best game and story to come out of gaming fir the last 30 years.. it was a seminal moment imo.

I think it's a testament to the game, and the memory I hold of it, to instantly play the pieces of music relating to each of the scenes.

Absolutely superb.

Yeah, it's a shame that the thread title didn't make it clear in any way whatsoever that it was to do with FFVII, so that people who don't like FFVII could make the sensible decision not to click on it... :rolleyes:

This is how discussion forums work, plus I like art so I can appreciate it for that. Though my comment of "eww FFVII" still stands, even though I think the art is very good.

I love other FF games. I just don't understand the hype over 7 outside of it being the first big JRPG that most people played.

I know it's highly unlikely but I really really hope they remake this game (properly) in my lifetime.

It's on the cards I think and I do believe something is is motion at the moment.

It's been that long since I played it, that I can't think of much (apart from improved graphics of course) that I'd want changed...apart from being able to skip the flipping animations by the whatchamacallits!

I think it would be a great move by SE. Would sell millions imo.

I would like them to try and keep some of the style though, top down view in the map for example.
