Yeah, I've taken the week off since it happened last Monday but I'm going nuts now not doing anything, think I'll go back and see how it goes tomorrow.

BTW, I just want to clarify that it was a bad line kayaking, not crossfit, just in case anyone accidentally misattributes it :(

I wanted some advice on what to do workout wise.

Currently I am doing a mixture of HIIT and 30 minutes of 'fast riding' on an exercise bike usually 5 – 6 days a week. I’m getting about £1000 worth of weights and equipment soon and plan on doing weights 3 days a week as outlined in this post http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=4645072&postcount=2

I want to keep doing cardio but I am unsure of when / how much I should / could be doing while on weights 3 days a week. Is it possible to do cardio in the morning most days and then weights in the evening on the 3 days or is that going to be too much? My goal is currently weight / fat loss and a bit of muscle gain for now to 'replace' some of the fat loss (have managed to drop 2st in just under 2 months so far).

Thanks

Injury central here. I hurt my wrist doing the roll of shame on Friday so I took the weekend off. Going to go in tonight to give deadlifts a shot but I've got a feeling I'll end up doing cardio :(

Edit: and by cardio I mean walking back to the car

There are way more experienced people here but that seems like quite a lot of cardio to me (it's entirely up to you whether you're doing too much of one thing or another). Did you read http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18474510 as well? Why not give it a go and see what your body says? Usually, feedback comes pretty quick :p

You won't gain muscle mass whilst losing weight (generally speaking) so just concentrate on trimming down.

Doing cardio in the evening with some strength work in the morning would be my preference, simply because I prefer being fresh for weights, whilst using cardio to flush out the crud that accumulated during lifting...

Actually managed to Deadlift! Didn't go too heavy, stuck to 180KG for triples but I definitely had more in the tank. Can't wait to get it back to a good weight.

Yup, going on the Saturday. Not expecting much but I really want to meet the strongman blokes! :D Think they did a Strongman competition as well last year which would have been great to see.

Our very own Morba competed in it, at least I think it was last years one.

Branch Warren has recently shown his face at one of my local gyms in the area with a view to turning up at the expo. There is a vid of him doing 40 kg dumbbell curls at the gym etc: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Strength-Asylum/343570339056147

Going to Bodypower on the Saturday, really cba though as Saturday is the worst day to go. I've always gone on Friday in the past as you get the most freebies and it's quiet enough to walk around without having to push through the crowds

Couple of expo questions I'm also going Saturday, what do people wear? Gym sort of attire I'm going to guess the majority will wear.. Isit roasting inside? , and can you go out the expo to eat and come back in or not?

You'll see lots of carpet carriers in their vests and snap backs, yes it's like an oven and yes you can come and go as you please.
You'll also be able to smell the gear being sweated out :D
