I still prefer Hawkmoon :) Two headshot kills is plenty powerful enough! When a whole team is using thorn and the DoT stacks it can be a bit OP though.

Kinda nice playing regular crucible with newblets though, much easier than IB. Trials is gonna be pretty intense though.

Still grinding me plasteel plate to get all the armour ready that I am considering ascending on the titan. Pretty confident of being able to go into PoE at level 33 on day 1, as long as one of the 3 NFs drops an etheric light it'll happen. At 33 we *should* be able to manage the 34 PoE which will be another etheric :>
 
Yeah, I'm just trying to get my money and vanguard/crucible points to 200 on all three so I 've at least got a chance at 33 without messing about farming.

Still one more nightfall to do this week but should be on all day once I get back in the house.
 
I'm not sure what base level the new vendor gear will be....but the new upgrade system doesn't require you to re-level up stuff, so what you really need is exotic shards and etheric light. Assuming you have exotic shards that'll let you ascend an exotic piece.

Etheric light drops from NFs, Trials and PoE level 34. Just one from NF and you're level 33, which will give us a decent crack at the 34 PoE. Get lucky on NF with 2x etheric light, complete the 34 PoE and we could be level 34 on day 1 :)

Ascending exotic = 1 exotic shard, 25 materials (plasteel/hadronic/sapphire/weapon parts), 1500 glimmer
Ascending legendary = 1 etheric light, 20 materials (spirit bloom etc), 750 glimmer

i believe the weapons start of at 331 and ascend to 365, Armour starts at 36 which is the current cap and ascends to 42

Vendor brought yes it will be like your current gear, needing a piece of etheric light to ascend. The amour core got from PoE can be exchanged with Variks for the piece of lvl 34 armour (no acening required) he is selling that week.
 
My crucible rank is only at 2 with 1 character, 0 with the other 2. Haven't played much of it at all as every time I join I just end up on a team of complete idiots or some who are AFK and hoping the team will carry them for wins.

At least there is no real requirement to play it - but I don't mind if there is a few joining up as at least it makes it playable.

Saying that, you only get 1 more mark for winning so guess it's not even that important...but that also creates more AFK players too as they don't see the extra effort for 1 mark worth playing for.


Also - I tried to put the App on my phone but it said it's not compatible. lol.
1st time I've ever missed out by not keeping very up to date with phones.

I broke mine by spilling a bottle of water on it and got my Dads cast off as he got a new iphone. Isn't that meant to be the other way around?

Never got into the phone fad but surprised it wasn't compatible - it's not like mines a really old one or anything. Samsung Galaxy something or other...bummer.
Guess I have to keep putting up with the loading screens

There are a couple of Chrome browser extensions that also allow you to manage inventory easily, as well as the bungie.net site itself.

2 nightfalls on lunch, energies and a vanquisher, sigh.

Picked up skullfort and Truth which are some of the last remaining exotics I'm missing. Actually, all I have left is 1 weapon (4th horseman) and 4 exotic armour pieces, 3 of which I had and either sharded or accidentally deleted.
 
I can't wait to play a more competitive variant of the Crucible, with players who don't quit out and actually have a decent level of skill. Me and Venom are currently sitting on a Doubles record of 29-0-1 (that loss still irritates me to this day); most players quit when they're 1500 points down or just get absolutely destroyed. Yesterday we won a game on Asylum and the score finished on 3500-200.

Trials needs to hurry up! Hopefully Bungie eventually implement custom/private lobbies, like Halo.
 
Ah cool I'll have a look at that later. I can't access a lot of stuff at work which is where I do most of my internet usage so handy to know.

It's not that much fun just destroying people - goes for anything in life really. most of my best squash games were losses as they were good games. A lot of my wins I just decimate them and it's boring.
Reducing the player count reduces the randomness too so if you're a decent group then it makes it really quite easy.

Didn't even realise there was 2v2 like. Really ought to play that then as chances are I'll have a lot more success as 6v6 when it's one-sided there is nothing an individual player can do about it when they all have heavy and specials

I'm not sure I'm going to enjoy trials.. But I'm going to grind it out anyway lol
 
Just did one of the new events on Venus, killing a dreg for the queen. After I finished, it said "fallen treasure nearby" or something but I couldn't find anything. The key was on a timer as well :(
