Hey guys

So some birds have just made a nest in the roof of my house. Every morning from about 5 the are chirping away and I can't get any sleep because they as so loud. What's the best way to get rid of them? Do I have to wait until they have gone? Or can I do something about it now?

Thanks

Will

They should be gone soon. Then remove the nest and block the hole, they will be back next year or as our box, blue **** first then great **** a month or so after.

Make sure you note where the access is by watching them come and go, put up with it while you wait for them to leave (:(), then block the hole.

Where is your box & what time of year do they start nesting in it?
I'm the opposite to the OP and am trying to get them to nest :p
There's always plenty on the feeder but can't get them to stay :(

You should wait until they're gone as most nesting birds are protected, once the young have gone then block the hole

I've currently got pigeons that have two egg. They're underneath the solar panels. We;ve got a loft conversion I can look out the velux and see them. We've also got a flat roof the seagulls love to block the drainage on and cause a leak. So before they finish making the nest and lay egg we need to get up there and sweep the path clear. No matter what we try to put them off they keep coming back. A plastic owl was pushed over on the flat roof by them. CD's on a rope just shatter in the wind. I've been told that with spikes they just lay stuff over the top. Joy's of living on the coast.

Mine is high up on an outbuilding but I only put it there in early April so I guess I missed the boat this year.
I'm hoping to persuade these little fellas to move in -
