Going to start of this with saying what a bummer right!

Just wanted to share my thoughts on my recent problem. I purchased the monitor like 3 months ago.

I had only just recently realised it's gotten some really bad backlight bleed when playing dark games and watching movies.

Kinda sucks that for having a monitor for 3 months theirs nothing OCUK can do other than send it to Asus.

But hey, Upside is i appreciate G-Sync more than ever now I've had to return to my crummy 60HZ 1080P experience.

Fingers crossed it comes back in one piece and doesn't have any more problems as i love the monitor.

Also, this may sound stupid but have any of you guys felt your monitor after a hour or so?

That thing got really really hot i was shocked, I'm pretty sure i could cook an egg on it if i desired :D

Have any of you guys had any problems with your RoG swift?
Or has it been smooth sailing for you guys?

Thanks

Jamie

If you check out the big swift thread you will see some had problems with dead pixels, most are happy though.

You can do a doorstep exchange if you contact Asus directly, I'm surprised you weren't told this.

That's the thing, I was told that i could do that by a OCUK Rep.

I gave them a call and they said i can fill out a RMA form but it would be easier if i would go to the store as he said because I've only had it for three months.

So he sad the store will just replace it for me and he can't see their being any problems.

So i went down to OCUK yesterday spoke to some nice customer service guys and they have sent it off for me.

Ah sounds like the Asus rep may have fobbed you off a bit as they can come out and exchange it for you, I guess its not quite so bad as you at least have a backup.

My screen gets a little warm but nothing like your describing.

Worth persisting with. Wouldn't swap this monitor for anything else.
