Assassins Creed Syndicate

I've played near on all the ac games. I played and completed AC1, AC2 and botherhood on PC , AC3 on ps3 and then black flag and AC unity on ps4. Only AC 3 I'd say is the I didn't like, completed it still but hytham totally overshadowed conner and I didn't like conner at all...

No doubt I'll get this one as well. I just like AC games sorry to say.

Having never properly played an AC game, I'm honestly not sure I ever will now. Far too many games to know where to even start, it's like the Guitar Hero/Rockband games all over again.

The games don't have the same over arching story lines they once did, so in that respect they are a lot more accessible for new comers, you could pretty much jump right in to either of the last two games without really needing to know much of the games back-story

I swore I wouldn't get sucked in by AC again this year, but the clips from Gamescom do look like quite a few changes have been made.

This is out next week and tbh it's looking quite good from what I have watched so far... It seems better than what was shown earlier in the year...

I love the ac series , I even had enjoyment from unity despite its failures. I am looking forward to this, but I feel I'm going to be small minority that buys this as there is simply no hype for this game at all, seems the series for many has now reached fatigue..

Shame , as the setting this time around looks superb.

still looking forward to this, although I've intentionally watched far less of the games publicity this time around (by release last year Ubisoft had managed to spoil every secret in the game with their promo videos)

It was rumored that Ubisoft will try and re-boot the game next year to tie in with the movies release, so this may be the last of this type of AC, certainly some aspects of the game could use some freshening up.

roll on the Spanish Inquisition

Hard to feel any sympathy really. They released far too many games too quickly and did some quite sizeable brand damage with the broken state Unity was released in less than a year ago. If they'd waited another year or so for the next AC game perhaps people would've forgotten - or at least forgiven - but as it is I'm sure plenty of people are weary.

Hmmmm, not convinced by this yet. It just looks like good - or bad - old AC with a different skin and a couple extras thrown in. Just watched a gameplay vid and the AI is horrendous, I dont know if there is difficulty settings and obviously the game is not released yet but 'spotter' enemies on roof tops with guns just stood there whilst the player despatched them one by one, they didnt even aim at him, fire off a shot or raise alarm. It was "hello, please murder me".

Usually they see you coming a mile away on the roofs in AC, so hopefully that will be sorted before release. Similar things happen in The Last of Us, the AI is bordering on comical throughout that game and people write it up as a masterpiece.

Well yeah, because it was. A few iffy AI issues weren't going to detract from the overall experience.

I don't think you can really blame people for being cynical when you take into account the first AC was released at the same time as the original Uncharted, yet there's been three times as many AC games released.

It's a bit annoying that content has been kept back for the ultimate edition or whatever it's called, Especially single player missions. I'm all for DLC after launch but keeping back missions which have been used to showcase the game and will be available on launch is taking the biscuit if you ask me.

Quite like the look of this, but (The Witcher excepted) I don't buy single player games at launch. The price always tumbles a month or two after launch when most launch buyers have completed and traded in/sold on. Why pay £40+ for a game that will be £20 in two or three months?

Same story with Tomb Raider TBH. Love the look of that, really enjoyed the previous game, but there's no point picking it up at launch.
