Bah was hoping to do all the bounties on 3 characters to level most of my stuff before tomorrow, got to leave for work soon -.-
 
Back up now. Says it's version 1.2.0.1 so I wonder if that means all the other changes are now live. Having a look now...

EDIT: Rahool still doesn't want to know about the engrams...

Nothing new with Petra or the Speaker.

Going to try a wolf event to see if that's changed..

Can confirm that you can still open chests multiple times post-patch :)

Looks like this was just another pre-HoW rollout patch. Bungie have confirmed the 6pm launch of HoW tomorrow. I should be home just before then, as long as the traffic doesn't back up. Roll on tomorrow.
 
Interesting that they've removed the ability to roll some of the more powerful perks on some of the weapons when reforging in HoW -

  • Hammer Forged has been removed from HoW shotguns.
  • Field Scout was replaced by Appended Magazine/Casket Mag, Extended Mag is on ARs.
  • Crowd Control was removed from HoW Hand Cannons.
  • Sniper Rifles can roll with Shoot to Loot; HoW Snipers can’t roll with Final Round.
  • Scout Rifles can roll with Full Auto.
  • Auto Rifles can roll with Focused Fire.

have to say i think it's a good idea and will keep things more interesting instead of everyone going for the 'god' roll.

Wonder if they'll apply these changes to Iron Banner?

edit: this does apply to Iron Banner weapons- no more new Efrideet's spears with final round!

No mention of assault rifle buffs then? I can't think of a single situation where you would want to use one currently over anything else.
 
I use them all the time, they aren't that bad. Closer range fights is where they really shine, when the slower scout rifles and hand cannons don't quite cut it. Plus I just prefer them anyway.

They do need to be buffed back up a bit though, I'd probably return them to how they were before the last round of weapon changes they did.

I find myself using Saterienne rapier all the time with outlaw and firefly, I think its probably the best non raid scout rifle really (for pve).
 
Got the 'Require ether key' message and couldn't loot one chest. Must have been because I died and got resurrected just a second or two before the boss went down :(

Played my first match of Salvage, a lot of fun :D, no items thou. Got 4 keys now and 2 passage coins(Looks like you get only 1 pre account since I tried with 3 chars but it dropped for the first Think you need to finish a whole match, first 2 times I joined midgame and didn't get anything on my secondary characters. Now I've gotten 3 today).

Damn.. I was just starting to get close to completing the Grimoire (100 off) but now they've added another 700 points or so! Oh well, I'll make a start on them tomorrow I guess.
