4GB IS NOT CONFIRMED, HE SAID NO COMMENT BECAUSE IT'S STILL UNRELEASED, THAT IS ALL

EUROGAMER ARE JUST SPEWING.

This info comes from a conference call all the hacks were on, nobody has supar-sekrit info or an exclusive, all articles will be about the same call.

^^ This.

Think it's safe to assume high end is 8GB HBM and 4GB HBM for below card and Mid / High is 8GB GDDR5 below that likely 4GB GDDR5.

Let the wild speculation about everything else continue..

I'll start, if these are still in fact 28nm they will run hotter than a thousand suns :p

I hate how AMD refuse to say anything, they showed a 28nm GPU in a test board running a demo months before release back in 2011, this HBM "reveal" is a joke as we have known everything in the slides for over a year now.

AMD’s Flagship ‘Fiji XT GPU’ Debuts Radeon’s Titan Equivalent Branding – Hawaii Slated To Lead the R9 300 Series

The well known publication Sweclockers.com recently posted something that was very interesting and seemed to confirm the suspicions we have been having as of late. The publication alleges that the AMD Fiji GPUs are not going to form the flagship models of the Radeon R9 390X series, rather form their own separate niche of ultra high end, luxury products from AMD. Basically, the Titan-equivalent of Radeon.

High spec / high price !!

Not the first time I've read about a Titan style AMD card to act as a halo product..

Expect it to be expensive !!

This may be the only way to beat Nvidia at their own game, Nvidia created a new price tier with the Titan's. AMD could either keep going for 'better value' alternative or offer something better and at the same price bracket. This way Nvida can't keep raising the price..

Potentially bad for us consumers though, as the more affordable bracket will likely see less improvement per gen VS their Halo product counterparts..

Wouldn't it make little difference to the average consumer though? As I'd imagine the vast majority of profit is not made in that sort of price bracket. Therefore they have to keep appealing to biggest base.

It could if most of the generational improvements end up being on the now (If it happens) new high end cards, while the lower down cards don't bring as much improvement but occupy the more traditional GPU price range £450 - £550.

Nobody wants £850 to be the default price range for a flagship..

Launch co-incides with Computex. Availability co-incides with E3.

After it didn't happen in Q1, why the hell would they betray much if anything until the biggest PC show of the year, and the biggest gaming show of the year? It's their biggest launch since Bulldozer.

Ah, I take your point. Yeah, we could end up waiting for the die shrink.

I think we need to prepare for the worst, and rising prices / shafting / milking from PC gaming. It might end up to rich for my blood.

Problem is I am a massive hardware geek, although in the past the new hardware was worth it..

I am a sucker for new hardware, despite my best intentions of not buying the latest thing.. This video sums me up when it comes to waiting for new hardware releases..

Looks like a nice card indeed but when I calculated exchange rate + VAT you are looking at £670 or there about.

It's not unlikely given that the 780Ti and 980Ti will likely be around that price.

AMD are just meeting Nvidia at their price points. I don't think it's good news for PC gamers given most people would barely consider paying £200 on a GPU.

On that track it kind of puts mass gaming back in to the 1080P resolution again. Shame, real shame.

We should all want to see the average bar being raised not more products out of reach of the general population. That doesn't help anyone.

Blame the Nvidia guys paying it. If all that bought the TX said "No, not paying it, ya taking the ****"

They would have dropped like a stone within a few days.

I love the way that every rumour about the R9 series is worse than the last. By the time they get released, my expectations will be at an all-time low.

In fact, I'm not expecting to upgrade, despite waiting ages for these new cards. Hope all the rumours are wrong, but honestly they can't all be rubbish... can they?

Never under estimate the internet :p

How did you get the impression of the cards being rubbish from an article which states they might be titan competitors?
