Similar router to Draytek Vigor 2830?

Looking for a router than fits the specs of the Vigor 8320 but a cheaper option if one exists? Going to support a PPPoE ADSL 2+ connection. Thanks!

The original question is too vague. A Vigor2830 has a lot of features, which ones are actually of interest?

Sorry! Well the only reason I say vigor 2830 is because it's been "recommended" by the ISP, there's fancy but the existing router is only letting through about 8mb bandwidth, whereas openreach have tested 17mb coming through the wall socket, as soon as it passes the existing router it loses over half it's speed.

Is it bad to assume it's a faulty router?

What's the existing router? Is it old enough to be ADSL, so only good for 8Mbps?

If you log into the router, what are the sync mode & stats? G.992.1 (aka G.dmt) is vanilla ADSL. G.992.5 is ADSL2+ (aka G.dmt.bis+)
