I have been put on antidepressants...

Depression sucks, the act of getting external help for it puts you in a better place than most sufferers. Never be afraid to ask for help.

Oh yeah it is crazy how nice it is to talk to someone about your problems and not have to bottle them up. That is certainly the worst thing you can do. Have a good write here if you got nobody to talk to and we will read.

I can't think of anything more horrific than being on a trampoline when depressed.

My wife was on antidepressants when i met her 2 years ago. This time last year she had managed to get off them. Sadly things took a turn for the worse and due to reasons i will not go into on here she went back onto 20mg. More recently it has been upped to 30mg and things are starting to stablize. and i will tell you the same thing i told her...

"Depression is not a sign of weakness, It's just a sign you have been too strong for too long"

I saw it on the web a while back and it rings true.

Those that matter will be there for you no matter what and those that leave, were not worth your time anyway.

they look like spazzes when running in the first scene. secondly, when they go down those tubes its pretty cool. i've always thought about how on tall buildings there are those chutes for builders to throw crap down if you could slinky down them. thirdly, fatties, would it stretch around them or are they stuffed ( is that a pun ? )

sometimes you just need a bit of help though... the drugs arent miracle cures but they can make the difference between lying in bed screaming into your pillow in tears and actually getting outside to do some of the things you want/need to do.

if you went to the doctors with for example a kidney infection you wouldn't turn down the antibiotics and say ''im going to do this on my own'' so why do people treat the brain and its illnesses so differently ?

my friends where very anti drugs . it put me off going to the doctors for probably a year. what upsets me most though is that my friend who killed himself might have gone to the doctors and sought help if there wasn't such a big stigma around it too...

No one is saying treat the brain differently . I said people should use the drugs if it helps but they should also look at other ways as well as the drugs.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having such a horrible time at work. Do you have anyone to talk to about this?

Hardly. Could talk to the Mrs, but it's usually too late in the day and I wouldn't dare mention the things that enter my mind on a daily basis.

One thing is clear though, my issues all stem from fates that are out of my hands.
