Not getting full refund because seller takes off postage costs?

I remember why I don't post in general now. Thought it would have been a bit more informative.

11 years and I still haven't learnt.

Back to Bikers I go :( :P :D

You've been informed quite well, you've probably wasted a quid in terms of labour thinking about this.

You're 20p down already. cut your losses.

Postage was of course not free - for the seller - but it was for the buyer. The seller can't deduct something they didn't charge for in the first place. imho.

Check ebay t&cs.

I can't remember what they call DSRs this week, or if it's changed much, but it used to be written in law that you had to cover the cost of returning the item yourself, but the seller had to refund you the whole cost including the P&P (if any) you paid in the first instance. They couldn't make a charge for the return, e.g. a re-stocking fee.

Refunding the cost of delivery
The trader has to refund the basic delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place, so if you opted for enhanced service eg guaranteed next day, it only has to refund the basic cost.]
