Had that the other day - for some reason some completely innocuous word was being parsed as yellow stars when posting.
We call them 'forum blessings' a bit like kudos points.
No one really knows how they are awarded, or by whom, but once you have built up enough, OCUK send you a free packet of haribo.
Of course, I'd be annoyed about losing £25 if I did lose it, it's only about an hour's work, but then I'd be annoyed if I lost a pound, simply because there's something useful that could be done with that.

Off topic, but I remember many years ago in my early 20's using Rentagoose for a chainsaw after my local rental shop would not rent me one without a license.
I returned it after felling 4 connifers "chain kept coming off"
I would love to see their return shed come the end of the week and the BS stories that go along with the them.

One that breaks security seals then takes it back expecting a full refund, leaving them with a £30 loss.

I don't get the issue here.....maybe it's late and I'm being stupid. OP bought an item that was marked as being exempt from their normal 30day money back guarantee (even if till operator told them different you have no proof so no way of proving) took it home opened it a little bit (can you actually open something a little bit in this case) and returned it expecting a full refund?? And they now have the hump?! Is that it in a nutshell??
If so, OP, without meaning to be rude but you need to catch yourelf on. If it was so important to you that it needed to have a 30 day money back guarantee then it was your responsibility to get some form of provable confirmation before leaving the store with you're item.
And to be honest, you're statement that argos have lost a big customer is a bit silly. I can't imagine they are going to go to the wall without your custom. Hell, to be honest if they had too many customers like you (buying something opening a little bit and taking it back) expecting a full refund for no good reason they'd have went to the wall a long time ago!!
