I wonder how the Pope is feeling today.
I wish people would understand that you do not need to marry a person to love a person!![]()
I don't think anyone is suggesting otherwise, but I think acceptance from society that your love is just as valuable and special as someone in a heterosexual relationship is a powerful thing.
Should they not be accepted for who they are anyway, regardless of sexuality or status?
People are just people to me, don't care what you do or get up to that's your thing and your life. Who the hell am I or anybody else for that matter to interfere in a persons personal life.![]()
I wonder how the Pope is feeling today.
It's a portmanteau of Britain and Exit - Brexit. Similar to Grexit for Greece. Hope that helps.
The pope commented on gay relationships already, his words were 'Who am I to judge?'
The most forwarding thinking thing I've heard from anyone of power in the Catholic Church in quite some time.
And that's great but not everyone is as tolerant and accepting as you are and this legal change helps to show that their views are in the minority.
This is what people get wrong! It is not tolerance it is understanding thats the key.
Tolerance is to tolerate something you dislike, I do not dislike gay or any other sexuality. I just understand what people are like.
Understanding is the key not tolerance !![]()
See...the issue I have with same sex marriages is that by definition they are not marriages. They're something different. If you have to change the very definition of a word, then it is no longer that word.
I have no issues with same sex couples having the same legal standing...just call it something different. Like a homiage!
I also really hate the term gay marriage. If we're going to call it marriage, bloody leave it at that. It doesn't need gay or same sex in front of it! It's simply a marriage ( homiage).
I agree with your point, but I think both are important, albeit the understanding the most important.
Surely though you can understand something without agreeing with it?
Not everyone wants to understand though and so sometimes they just need to be tolerant.
