Hi,

I've decided to build new PC. I want to spend around £1000 +/ £100. NN Winows. Thanks.

MSI Z97 Gaming 3 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard

Intel Core i7 i7-4790K CPU

Raijintek Themis CPU

4GB Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 GAMING, 7010MHz GDDR5, GPU 1178MHz, Boost 1329MHz + Batman Arkham Knight + Witcher 3

Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Pro Series Red, PC3-19200 (2400), 16GB (2x8GB)

Samsung 2.5-Inch 250 GB 850 EVO Solid State Drive

EVGA Supernova 650W G1 Gold Modular Power Supply Unit for PC

Fractal Design Define R5 Pearl Computer Case - Black

LG GH24NSB0.AUAA 24x Internal DVD Rewriter - Black

Couple o' things I would change

Perhaps the Corsair RAM is a bit overpriced for what it is
The G1 PSUs aren't very good, you want Seasonic/Antec (Seasonic OEM), SuperFlower, EVGA G2/P2/GS and so on

Will you need a HDD?

That's a very nice PSU indeed, and will hold you up for 970 SLI should you ever go for it :)

My two cents here... go ahead and buy all the parts except for the graphics card. The 980ti and R9 3XX series are almost here and it would be silly not to at least see what happens. Even if you still go for a GTX970, the prices could drop and be better after the new cards launch. I must also ask whether the DVD srive will actually be used. Windows can be installed via USB and I've never needed to use any discs on my laptop in the past 3 years.

Also, how is the EVGA G1 a bad PSU? I'm pretty sure its on the big thread of good PSUs in the PSU section. And it has good reviews too.
