The only thing about that video that ive sorta got a little ****ed about was that they said they implemented TressFX without any penalty to the nvidia folks and that is not true. nVidia had major issues in the beginning but it did get fixed and now nVidia does perform just fine with the TressFX in TR. Stop being so holy and own up just like we want nvidia to own up. Ohh and the sarcasme got me puking a bit.
Do you know why that got fixed? That was thanks to IHV/Dev co-operation and access to TressFX source code.
Matt, as you want to join in. Why does your employers feel the need to lie while berating NVidia?
AMD - less videos, more drivers please! Chop chop!

Kind of irrelevant as the point was that there was an issue when the chap in the video claims there wasn't, Thanks for confirming there was though![]()

As an example the gaining scientist's previous comments, a couple of developers have come out and said basically what AMD have said is not true(who knows the developer could telling porkies, but with no AMD comment I guess the developer must be correct.
Seriously? You expect a vendor rep to respond to a question that;
a) Is insulting and borderline libelous
b) Has no specific instance quoted for the recipient to address
Good luck with that. I can see a train wreck in this threads future.
Insulting, Sorry if it offends you it was directed at AMD.
Have you not been reading all the threads recently. Plenty of quotes and extracts. But if AMD do not know what I mean then I will gladly spend time pulling it all together if they would take them time to answer it.
Just to help, The whole project cars debacle.

Whole thread here for you to read.

p.s. I would also have a lot of questions for NVidia if they interacted with the end users more, so that is a plus to AMD.
It is a bit relevant considering the point of the argument about Gameworks is the developers are unable to optimise the code for AMD hardware. The point of TressFX is NVIDIA were actually able to improve performance on their end considerably without restriction. But bait all you like.
http://www.pcgamer.com/tomb-raiders...ing-looked-at-by-nvidia-and-crystal-dynamics/Nvidia released a new beta version of their GeForce driver this week, once again squeezing more incremental improvements from a bunch of games, both new and old. But one prominent release was missing from the list of tweaks: Tomb Raider . Lara's latest outing may continue Square Enix's quality porting form, but, as Chris notes in his settings overview , GeForce cards attempting to use AMD's new fancy hair tech TressFX suffer a drastic performance hit.
In the comments for the beta update post , Nvidia's Andrew Burnes explains the problem and apologises to GeForce owners. "We are aware of performance and stability issues with GeForce GPUs running Tomb Raider with maximum settings," he writes. "Unfortunately, NVIDIA didn't receive final game code until this past weekend which substantially decreased stability, image quality and performance over a build we were previously provided. We are working closely with Crystal Dynamics to address and resolve all game issues as quickly as possible."
Burnes also notes that Nvidia can't magic up a fix without some help from Crystal Dynamics. "The developer will need to make code changes on their end to fix the issues on GeForce GPUs as well. As a result, we recommend you do not test Tomb Raider until all of the above issues have been resolved."
"In the meantime, we would like to apologize to GeForce users that are not able to have a great experience playing Tomb Raider, as they have come to expect with all of their favorite PC games."
SnippedPlease be advised that these issues cannot be completely resolved by an NVIDIA driver. The developer will need to make code changes on their end to fix the issues on GeForce GPUs as well
And what about Lichdom? My understanding isthere are some issues wityth that on Nvidia cards too?
So that's 2 TressFX games that haven't worked fine on Nvidia games at launch, although in the video they said none.
How many TressFX games are there?
