The team your in must have decent pvp players otherwise there is no way it would have been possible to hit 9 three times in three attempts.
Statistically you need to win 9 times out of every 11 games. That's a very high win percentage roughly 82%. To do flawless is 100% over 9 games. Those kind of stats aren't just luck and team work you need to be good at pvp too.
I've only played it 3 times I reckon I could hit 9 with more play time and get lucky with the matching. Would be much easier if I found 2 people who can top the leader board in crucible regularly though.
Anyone who thinks 9 straight wins is team work and luck is deluded. You need to be competent at pvp as well.
It's completely different from a raid where you can carry someone through. If it was 6 v 6 and you had 4/5 good players you could probably carry one or two weaker players in 3 v 3 you cannot carry someone it's too small a team for the win percentage required.
My PvP stats are average at best. 1.3K/D Titan, 1.4 K/D Hunter & 0.9 K/D on Warlock. Warlock was my flawless unbelievably!
With all the buffs bought you only have to realistically go 7-1 to get to the lighthouse. So realistically I've been 7-1 once(but didn't have the buff forgiving a loss), 7-2 & 7-0. Our team comprised of me, a Norwegian friend & a 16 year old American kid.
I had never played the map before & don't have a specific PvP load out. We succeeded against teams of better players by communicating constantly, sticking together & also not really aiming for the flawless.
The pressure is on for the final game, such an experience trying to keep cool knowing so much is riding on it. We were 4-4 in our last game against a really good team but just managed to pip them at the last round.
I then started another card & we got schooled by a very good team 5-0.
Edit; Thorn is undoubtedly the 'Gjallarhorn' of PvP, So OP it's unreal.
