GT-86/BRZ too.
Stupidly loud exhaust on just about every Nova owned by anyone under 20 in the 90s.
They don't sound good if your older than 20
ahhh I getcha, so todays version being the Saxo lol, nar i'm 34 I dont want loud, just a nice little rumble. theres gotta be a cheaper way to get this effect.
Just buy a decent aftermarket backbox then, you won't get the scooby noise. But it will sound 'deeper'. How it sounds depends on the car entirely. Unless it was a MPS I wouldn't bother.

Cheap way? Remove the whole exhaust system from the headers back. I'm sure it will "rumble" then...

Get a stupidly big exhaust and remove one of the HT leads, it will almost sound like one then.

lol, only reason i'm doing it is because the cats had it and need a new one so thought i'll try and get a nice sound while at it.

Saw a few Imprezas, none had spoilers, do you yanks not like them
?They have equal length headers = no rumble... i have the same engine

MOT due soon ish, without cat it'll fail so I understand, my 6 is just a standard 2.0

From what I gather the 6MPS with the 2nd cat removed tends to pass anyway, not sure if the sports have 2 cats also tho.

Got it in Black, nice looking cars, only one cat on mine, not sure if that's standard uniform for the 2.0
