Ive been looking to upgrade my ageing xperia v for a while now and think im set at picking a brand new 32gb d802 for £200.
Ive looked at many alternatives including chinese phones but have decided that as support and quality are too uncertain. I looked closely at the moto x 2014 but camera and cost have led me to choose the g2. Anything else i should look at before i press the buy it now button?

Hmmm the G2 while still a decent smartphone is now 2 generations old so support from LG will die soon for it unless you like to use custom roms.

If you could stretch abit more say £280 you could get yourself a Samsung Galaxy S5 which has a very good camera & 4K shooting, splash proof, micro SD slot and removable battery.

Not sure i could live with the samsung looks plus the fact its so common also puts me off. The z3 is an idea but think i want a change from sony as my last 3 handsets have been sony.
I am a little concerned i might miss the sony music software as it allows me to have access to my music collection on pc upstairs and play through my phone via bluetooth to my denon mini system and it just works.

Worth noting that I've just got 5.0.2 OTA a couple of days ago on my D802, which is pretty good news. It's likely this will be the last official update it gets, but 19 months after release date isn't too bad I'd say

Best phone for the money imo, bought the same exact phone for my wife a couple months back, excellent mobile :)

Ive seen the S5 and Z3 for around the 230 mark for a used one, cant look past either of those really. HTC M8 also worth a shout.

I'm tempted by the LG G2 as an upgrade from my Moto G. It just looks to be a better version of the Nexus 5 really despite the lack of official software I can only imagine the modding community will continue to support it for a while yet as the specs are capable. Galaxy S4, Xperia Z1, HTC M7 I've also been considering are similarly priced second-hand/new but G2 seems to be the best by quite a long way. I've seen the 16GB D802 on the bay for £150 new which seems too good to be true really.
