Heard this on the radio last night so I'm a bit surprised there hasn't been a thread about it. Anyways, I for one would like to thank Tony for his valuable contribution in this role - thanks to his efforts the middle-east has never been more peaceful and stable. I'm sure whoever paid his significant fees for performing the role will agree that it was money well spent.

Yea, good job he did there....:o

You know, this thread has the potential for a completely unanimous agreement of opinion in GD....

OTT and old but a tad apt don't you think :p?

Never has the phrase 'stealing a living' been more apt.

GD seems quite agreed that he is in fact, a minion of the antichrist.

He looks well sinister in that photo. I think it calls for a caption competition.

Curious timing:
o Labour lose election
o Miliband resigns
o Blairites crawl out of the cracks hoping to return to power
o Bliar announces that he is going to step down

Very, very odd.

I never understood why Tony Blair was in the Labour Party. Still don't.

He did a speech a while back (last year I think), think it's on youtube, I'll try and find it.

It's quite worrying, but basically he talks about changing the labour party (new labour) so the labour he was in isn't the one people knew from before if that makes sense.

one thing I have learnt over the years, and it's not a nice thought, is that it doesn't matter what job you have, you look after number one! which isn't great when you're a politician.

Because it gave him the best chance of winning a general election at the time, he is a canny operator who manoeuvred himself into the right place at the right time and has done repeatedly. I really wouldn't rule him out of becoming a big wig in Europe he is slimy enough to fit right in.

Personally I can't stand the man but you have to admire his ability to avoid he blame and manipulate his way into something new.
