Wonder if anyone can help? I got an Aspire K1 tank with some BVC coils. Been working fine for a few days but now it's spitting liquid up the central tube. The tube itself is clear, it only happens when vaping. When you turn the battery on it pops and crackles. Any ideas what might be wrong? I've stripped it and cleaned it and still can't get it back to the way it was at the beginning.

Sounds like the wick has gone from the coil mate, have you tired a new coil?

Yes we will be stocking the mini RBA Plus placed an order for them already
but a bit pricey though around £6-£7

Spotted this on POTV, it's regarding the new RBA in the subox mini. Good news as i was fully expecting to have to buy the full tank to get it, now we know it'll also be sold separately :)

Look what turned up today... :D

I'll be honest, I wasn't sure I'd be a fan of these kind of drip tips (the style in general, I usually like plain black or white ones) But I'm impressed. The photo's don't do it justice, looks way better in real life.

snip...

Yub, I've just seen it and liked it on ukv... it looks lush.

That should mean that my no. 8 drip tip is waiting for me at home too. :)

EDIT: Anyone who has a subtank, it might be wise to pickup some extra coils now before they are all moved to the verticle coil system, which are much harder than whipping the old cotton out and pulling new cotton in. :)

Yeah the no. 8 looks good, will have to show us what it looks like on the UTA. :)

Speaking of, what are you thinking about the UTA? Like it?

I wrote a review on it a few page back.... in short... good.. very good.
I might get another, but I'm edging to the sqaupe r+ shorty just to be different. :)

Ah yes, just read it, must have missed that somehow. Good review, pretty spot on I'd say. Glad you like it. :)

I'm after some replacement coils for the subtank mini RBA as i find the kanger provided ones are very thin and constantly get bent out of shape when pull the old cotton out to rewick.

Should i buy these or is there something better? https://www.fasttech.com/products/3...re-coiled-wires-for-rebuildable-atomizers-100

24 AWG is quite a thick gauge, it's thicker than the stuff I normally use to make sub-ohm coils, I can't see no reason for them not to work but from my dealings with fasttech and the free coils that come in some of the kit I've brought, I think they taste funny. That maybe the kantal itself or them not pre-burning the wire like I do.

I'll be honest and say I've not needed to use the RBA selection of the the subtank yet, is it capable of supporting a sub ohm coil of that level of ohm and it to wick correctly? from what I've read most people build something like a 1.2 ohm coil but of course I may be totally wrong. :)

It's worth looking at getting some 28AWG kantal it's cheap enough and worth having for when your get into drippers and other rebuildables. Just get a Kuro coiling kit and some 28AWG from sleathvapes.

Other news. YiHi has released a firmware a few days back for the sx mini j, it gives 160w in dual battery mode. Eco battery settings and the option to disable motion control (thank the lord). There has been reported to have a few bugs, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Ta for the info.

Yeah the RBA does subohm fine, the coil it comes preinstalled with is 0.5 ohm as is the replacement. I do find that I can only use around 22-23W with thicker juices when chain vaping to avoid dry hits but i think that's more down to the tiny juice channels, thinner juices have no problems going higher but i tend to vape 70-80VG custards most of the time. Shame really as i love it at 30W but that high and it's 2 or 3 nice vapes with custard then dry hit every time, hopefully the new RBA coming out will sort that.

Found the Kuro Koiler on the rainforest for a fiver. Which thickness should i be getting the wire and Nickel or Kanthal?

I use 32awg for atties with very small spaces normally for atties that are smaller than 16mm like the miniatty and speriod but it's not for subohming, 4 wraps will get you around 1.5ish.

Normally I use 28AWG for anything else but for low ohms sub-ohming I use 25awg.

The lower the number the thicker the wire and the easiler is it to work with. 28AWG is a good all rounder, you can build high and low and just thick enough to be robost and thin enough not to have any issues trapping the wire for the pins.

This applies for nickel and kantal, but if you get nickel wire; get the Tempered stuff http://www.stealthvape.co.uk/tempered-ni200, it's been messed about with so it's easiler to work with.

Stealth Vapes do offer a sample packs of wires to have a play with, and there's http://steam-engine.org/ where you can bang your settings in and see what the coils come out like. It's worth playing with steam engine first to get a rough idea of what sort of AWG you need to get the target resistance.

Flat, clapton, twisted etc are all a load of BS, looks pretty but I personally can't tell the difference in vape but I'm not a shaolin coil master. lol

Rip Trippers has put out an unboxing of the new eVic VT, the finish looks a hell of a lot better in the video compared to the images that came out a few weeks back. £85 for the full kit direct from Joytech UK. Depending on how well it performs it could be a cracking deal.

i have the eleaf 30w with the nautilus mini. Now i love mine and my mam is wanting to pack in smoking. She likes what i have but i was thinkking about getting her the mini. what would be the best tank to use for it.

Think the mini will be best for her as i dought she will go anthing above 15w or so lol.

Any other advise would be great.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the heads up on the SX update. I wish they would give us a way to quickly change temperature without having to go in to the main menu. Having just the J on the memories is kind of annoying.

There is a new verison of that firmware that's meant to be bug free... the fact that it has "test" in the filename don't fill me with joy.

http://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/f...2816-sxmini-test-version-m_sxmini-v2-1-a.html

I'm going to wait for a little longer...

There should 10 memory settings, 5 for Joules settings and 5 for wattage settings.

I'll give it a try later. Thanks.

[edit] Any chance you can email it to me? I can't seem to register with POTV as I never get the activation email [/edit]

someone posted it from here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/725424084233471/

Please let me know how it goes... I don't actually have a windows machine at home to run the update with.. lol so I might have to bring my mod to work and run it at work or take a windows laptop home with me.

Just ordered my next mixing batch;

- 100ml capella custard v2
- 20ml capella glazed donut
- 10ml jungle juice (for a shake and vape to keep me going)

Will be a 600ml batch total, 500ml custard w/ glazed donut, 100-150ml jungle juice all at 4mg nic. :D

MX v5 ordered from FT too, they have the V6 now, take a peek, hilarious! :p
